The primary responsibility of Product Marketing Manager is to manage the assigned product portfolio, supporting and enhancing Medtronic’s Minimally Invasive Therapies Group’s position in the market in line with global and local strategies to ensure competitive advantage.
In close collaboration with other functions Product Marketing Manager plays a key role in making the strategies a success, by creating a tailored approach that reflects the dynamics of the region.
The role is part of the Commercial team and works closely with the Field Sales Team as well as other local and regional Marketing Roles like Market Development & Disease State Management, Marketing Operations as well as Medical Affairs, Training, Pricing & Tendering and Reimbursement & Market Access.
The position reports directly to the Country SI Marketing & Market Development Lead.
A day in the life
Marketing mix strategy & execution, market intelligence & competitive training of sales force, strategic tender management
Create and own country/region marketing plan
Develop and implement the product marketing plan across product sales & disease state management as well as relevant digital marketing plans for a omnichannel sales organization
Drive and lead external promotion and advertising campaigns
Manage annual and new marketing events and activities such as congresses, symposiums, workshops etc.
Product & program launches, landscape, segmentation, competitor analysis, product price reposition, promo & advertising
Provide market share and competition analysis
Close collaboration with disease state management
B.A degree in a business relevant discipline
Fluency in English and local language
Full clean driving license
3+ years of Product Marketing experience in Medical Devices or High Tech environment.
Strong ability to translate customer data into meaningful marketing insight, proficiency in segmentation & targeting and definition of stakeholder specific value propositions.
Competent in strategic marketing planning, marketing mix strategy and brand positioning.
Proficient in developing launch strategies and tailoring the development of new offering towards the target customers segments.
Nice to haves
Additional field sales experience is a plus
Willingness to travel 40 – 60% of the time.
