Licensee of a Luxury French Pastry brand and also the developer and licensee of several other food & beverage, retail, and other services brands in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Boutique Manager is responsible for managing a Luxury French Pastry Retail Boutique that is part of an international brand.
The Boutique Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of the greeting and service provided to customers. He oversees and runs a team of 2-3 Sales Assistants. He sees that operations run smoothly and that house quality standards are met.
The Boutique Manager monitors operating parameters, ensures effective cost management and sees that the yearly sales objectives set by the Management are met. On the basis of statistical data and his or her personal sales acumen, the Boutique Manager ensures a steady, adequate supply of products and packaging materials while keeping wastage to a minimum. He must immediately spot any deviation from the norm.

Job duties

Manage the operations
 Stay on budget each month (i.e. external expenses, overheads and staff costs)
 Set up monthly and daily sales objectives to the staff in line with the yearly sales objectives
 Draw up and check restocking orders, check inventory, keep wastage to a minimum, report any deviation from the norm, be proactive in our ongoing effort to improve the process of forecasting sales, especially for peak business periods
 Draw up work schedules for sales and service personnel; monitor absenteeism, overtime and leave
 Check transferred goods and deliveries
 Be perfectly familiar with house products and service standards
 Check that house sales and service standards are implemented properly
 Make sure that house merchandising standards are implemented properly
 See that all house rules and instructions are followed: cash receipts, punctuality, discipline, rules and regulations, maintaining clean/tidy premises, hygiene and penalties for deviations from house practices

Manage the staff
 Oversee staff at all times and hold daily briefings
 Review any incident, draw up a report to Management and take appropriate measure (information, training or penalties) in line with our on-going process improvement drive
 Create and maintain a positive climate of collaboration between sales staff. Listen to personnel and encourage them to contribute ideas, information or propositions
 Encourage all motivated staff members wishing to make progress on the job
 Work to reduce staff turnover, encourage multi-tasking and prefer in-house promotions
 Organize teams and procedures suitable for peak business periods, especially during holidays

Internal reporting and communication
 Carry out house reporting procedures faithfully and accurately to keep Management up to date
 Contribute suggestions on how to improve the operating guidelines used by the company
 Attend and contribute ideas at coordination meetings
 Communicate on all information from Management to your staff
 Give your support and full cooperation to the business development, marketing and communication teams as often as need be

المهارات

Candidate requirements

 Previous experience in Food retail or Food & Beverage
 Previous experience in the Luxury industry is preferred
 Certificates or Degrees in Hospitality Management
 Languages: Arabic (spoken) & English (spoken & written), French is a plus
 Years of experience: starting 4 years
 European Visa or European Passport is a big plus

Starting date

Immediately. The candidate will have to undergo 10 days training in Paris and oversee the pre-opening of the boutique in Jeddah

Remuneration package

Basic salary range: 2,000-3,000 USD
Benefits provided: medical insurance, accommodation and transportation
Bonus: eligible for % on additional revenue achieved above yearly objective
