OSN تطلب Direct Sales Area Manager – Egypt

Job Purpose

A retail leadership role, which is accountable for leading, engaging and developing a team of selling agents across a designated area.
 End to end management of the agents from recruitment, training, coaching, rosters, people issues and performance management. 
Takes ownership of retail performance and challenging those around them to perform better.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance

·       Ensure monthly targets are set in line with productivity expectations/ requirements by retail outlet and agent.

·       Take ownership for the commercial performance of the retail outlets against all individual and store KPI objectives and targets.

·       Challenges others to improve and finds new ways to increase competitive advantage.

·       Analyse the performance records of individual sales
agents and feed the results to the sales management team.

Product & Content Knowledge

·       To maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of the retail market, media and technology industry and internal activity to ensure that challenges to and opportunities for sales are identified and an open two-way dialogue is kept with sales management

·       Have complete knowledge of OSN’s content including current hot offerings e.g. same time as the US.

·       To ensure that all of the team understand OSN promotions, competitor and free to air propositions and where relevant pricing to best sell OSN to the customer over a competitor.

·       To ensure that all of the team fully understand and keep up to date with the range of products and services to demonstrate to the customer the premium product we offer. Supporting the team with their product and content knowledge to ensure success of the kiosk.

Policies & Processes & Application of the Code of Conduct

·       Competently and confidently communicates key business messages to the team regularly, in a clear and simple way, ensuring the message is fully understood and able to be applied.

·       Ensure that all of the team are aware and able to comply with all sales policies and processes including business updates and the code of conduct.

·       Control cash handling and inventory management to ensure there is no discrepancies. Ensure all cash collection is delivered to the Finance Department within the agreed SLA.

·       To understand, drive and improve all areas of operational compliance, efficiency and security, ensuring that your retail outlet adheres to policy, process and procedures and providing a safe working environment for both colleagues and customers.

·       Manage all customer escalations in an efficient and professional manner.

·       To utilise and understand key people metrics and HR policies and procedures to maximise the resources available and manage the performance of your business.

Communication

·       To have strong two-way communication both up and down the sales force, being the key link between sales management and all opportunities or concerns with what is happening in the field.

·       To be simple and precise with all messages, delivering them in a multitude of ways to ensure that the audience is aware of the message and the importance.

·       To be culturally aware of communication differences across both employees and customers and having the aptitude to change communication to adapt to the audience.

·       To develop and maintain robust relationships with your peers within your area or country and also networking with cross functional departments to work collaboratively and productively.

Dependability & Reliability

·       To act in an honest and trustworthy way, accurately representing the sales force in the field and sales management in an appropriate way.

·       To be diligent and comply with all expectations from sales management, delivering on all requirements in the expected timeframe.

·       To have regular and consistent interactions with all of the team including regular visits to each location whilst maintaining a presence in head office.

Coaching & Training

·       Regularly coach the team on sales techniques and provide constructive feedback on areas for development, equipping them with all the support and resources required to be successful in their role.

·       Identify training needs across the team by having regular conversations with sales management and coaches to ensure that all sales colleagues are adequately prepared to be successful in their roles.

·       To be a role model to the team, actively demonstrating through a real customer interaction the best sales techniques through positive customer interactions.

·       To actively identify talent, working with the training department to ensure that these employees are equipped for development.

Leadership Skills

·       Takes a proactive and planned approach to managing resources to ensure staff have the knowledge, skill and confidence to match our products and services to the customers’ needs resulting in a brilliant customer experience and exceeding company target expectations.

·       To be accountable for creating and developing a high performing team, continually raising the bar on the team’s performance, through the appropriate use of best performance reviews, coaching and development, engagement plans and performance and absence management

·       To follow the performance assessment framework in a timely manner ensuring that all employees are reviewed and assessed in a fair and consistent approach. 

Working closely with employees that require re-assessment ensuring that the process is followed and actions plans are implemented, providing the required support for success.

·       To be competent and fair with employees who have low performance or misconduct concerns, working closely with HR to ensure that each issue is dealt with in the right way.

Organisational Skills

·       Always ensure that retail outlets are appropriately staffed with correct work shifts. Setting regular rosters in advance for the team ensuring that everyone has the required time off and vacation allowances.

·       Responsible for coordinating corporate clearance of team members during resignation or termination.

Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies

Experience required:

·       Minimum 3-5 years of experience being successful in a high pressured, target-based sales environment.

·       Experience selling conceptual systems, designs or schemes (e.g., preferably entertainment-based, insurance related products, time share or off plan real estate)

·       Good understanding of retail store environment.

·       Minimum of 1 year of managerial experience desired or demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.

Education requirement:

·       Preferred – Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge & Skills:

·       Strong evidence of delivering long term commercial results
through a team as well as exceptional service

·       Highly self-motivated and able to act on own initiative

·       Demonstrable success at building customer relationships and acting on their needs

·       Mobility within local area

·       Strong English and Arabic communication skills (both written and spoken).

·       Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)

·       Interest in and awareness of pay TV
